I build digital businesses.
Code to Business. Business to Code.
I'm Bogdan Dogaru. Co-founder and CTO of Vevol Media. Fractional CTO for a small number of brands. A decade in the UK took me from startups to scale-ups and corporations, then into business. Today I lead technology at the agency, build my own products, and sit on your side of the table when the technical calls matter.
Brands and proof.
Before the offer: who I have worked with, and what holds up under Shopify's own review.
Brands I have worked with:
- Addison Lee
- Aviva
- MyGeisha
- Blackstone Publishing
- French Revolution
- Carl Scarpa
and 110+ more through Vevol Media.
Shopify, completed.
- Official theme (Noblesse).
- Public apps (Company Form).
- Custom apps.
- Stores at every scale.
- 110+ clients served through Vevol Media.
Fractional CTO
A senior technical seat on your side of the table.
Most growing ecommerce brands already have developers, agencies, maybe an in-house marketer. What they lack is the senior person who decides what is worth building, what to kill, and what it should cost. That is the seat I take.
What I own
- The technical roadmap, ranked by impact.
- Vendor and tool decisions.
- The "is this worth building" filter before anything ships.
- Translation between business and dev.
- Proving impact with data.
What I do not own
- Day-to-day ticket delivery.
- Marketing strategy.
- Your business decisions. I challenge them; I do not override them.
Who it is for
- Primarily established ecommerce and digital businesses (7 figures and up).
- Also startups and smaller shops when the fit is right and the ambition is real.
If something is better done by another vendor, by your team, by AI, or not at all, I will tell you.

How the work actually runs.
Four principles. The same ones I use in the agency, in products, and in a fractional CTO seat.
-
Clarity over chaos.
Before code, before contracts: what are we actually trying to move? Fuzzy work gets expensive fast.
-
Results, not hours.
Hours measure activity. I care whether your number moved, and I will tell you when the honest answer is "do not build this."
-
Systems before scale.
AI and teams both multiply whatever you point them at. I build the system first, then add the engine.
-
Keep it simple.
"Sometimes you don't need ten thousands of lines of code to fix one issue. You just need to be smart."

Notes from the field.
Real posts on ecommerce, shipping, and digital businesses, published on LinkedIn:
Fired at 22 for building a spreadsheet
I was 22, working hotel reception. On my own time I built a spreadsheet that did in seconds what took hours every week. To me it was obviously better. To them it was a threat. Turning manual chaos into systems became the career.
Shopify Meetup CEE 2026
We are not event planners. We are devs, PMs and Shopify specialists who pulled off a regional meetup because nobody else was doing it. And it turned out better than most professional conferences I have been to.
Technical debt, made visible
A client's Shopify site crawled at 6+ seconds LCP. We hunted down a rogue Liquid loop running on every page. Quick fix, instant results: LCP around 1.6s. Tech debt is invisible until it is eating your conversion rate.
Computers, business, football
Three things have shaped my life since childhood. At 34, I signed the contract to take charge of the digital side of Politehnica Iasi: rebuilding the club's online presence and shop. Naturally, on Shopify.
